Ernest Shackleton sailed into the treacherous seas of Antarctica in 1915 in his ship, the Endurance, becoming trapped in the ice for ten months. His own endurance saved all crew to return safely to England. In tribute to that mighty mariner, our Ail Sail fleet shall venture forth into the benign waters of the Salish Sea and the Gulf Islands. Perhaps becoming trapped overnight at a favourite pub. Sixteen vessels and 53 crew are slated for the adventure, this 52nd year of our voyages. Thar she blows, maties!
